| The Western Montana Area Health Education Center (WMT-AHEC) was established as the third of four regional AHECs in the state of Montana in September, 2008. Its mission is to develop and implement programs that will connect students to health professions; health professionals to underserved communities; and communities to better health.

| The mission of the Alaska AHEC is to institutionalize a statewide university-industry partnership focused on strengthening their health workforce. The Alaska AHEC was established in 1987 by rural health care providers, educators, and administrators.

| The mission of the Wyoming AHEC is to increase access to quality health care and to use educational methods as an incentive to attract and retain health care providers in areas of need. Programs and services offered through Wyoming AHEC are community-based and focus on community/academic partnerships.
