The Great Hospital Adventure
|
Youngsters throughout our region have met Josh and Ashley, the stars of a half-hour multimedia presentation program titled the Great Hospital Adventure. The program, presented in area schools by the Eastern Montana AHEC staff and students, as well as our local HOSA students, is designed to provide children in grades K-2 with information about health care, some common medical professions and helps to ease their fear if they ever need medical treatment.
The story begins with Josh and Ashley playing in the backyard and Josh breaks his leg. His sister, Ashley, who narrates the story, calls 911 and their adventure begins, as they meet a paramedic, a nurse, an emergency room doctor, a radiologic technologist, a physical therapist and a family doctor.
The story is told through puppetry, a video and a coloring book, featuring Josh and Ashley, and their new medical friends!
